Your surf coach in Canggu
I’m here to help you get better at surfing, but also to feel more comfortable in the ocean. Whether it’s your first time on a board or you already surf and want to sharpen your technique, we’ll work on what actually makes a difference.
No two surfers are the same, so I keep things personal. We’ll take it at your pace, work on your weak spots, and build from there. That could mean getting a cleaner pop-up, improving your positioning, or learning how to handle a reef break with more confidence.

We’ll focus on the details that help you catch more waves and surf them better, from your pop-up and positioning to your balance, timing and turns.

Reading the ocean
Good surfing starts before you even paddle out. I’ll teach you how to read the waves, tides and currents so you know where to be and what to look for.

Confidence in the water
The goal isn’t just to catch waves. It’s to feel comfortable out there, understand what’s happening around you and know what to do when conditions change.

Good sessions, good energy
Surfing should be fun. We’ll keep things relaxed, focused and positive, with plenty of waves and hopefully a cold coconut afterwards.

Where we meet: Nelayan Beach, Canggu
You’ll usually find me around Nelayan checking the waves or hanging out by the beach. It’s a great spot to meet, get ready and talk through the conditions before we paddle out.
After the session, we can grab a fresh coconut, talk through what you worked on and figure out what to focus on next.

Do I need surfing experience?
No. I teach complete beginners as well as surfers who want to improve. We start where you are and go at your pace.
How much does a surf lesson in Canggu cost?
Beginner lessons are Rp 350.000 per person semi-private or Rp 400.000 private. Intermediate lessons are Rp 450.000 per person. Every lesson is 2 hours and includes a surfboard, rashguard, water and zinc sunscreen.
Where do the surf lessons take place?
We meet at Nelayan Beach in Canggu. Depending on your level and the conditions, we pick the best spot for you.
How long is a surf lesson?
Every lesson is 2 hours.
Are boards included?
Yes. You get a surfboard that suits your level, plus a rashguard, water and zinc sunscreen.
What’s the best time to surf in Canggu?
It depends on the tide and the swell, not just the time of day. Send me a WhatsApp and I’ll suggest the best tide for your level on the days you’re here.
How do I book a lesson?

Can friends or couples join together?
Yes. Book a semi-private lesson and surf together in a small group. Prefer one-to-one coaching? Choose a private lesson.
What should I bring?
